Drone Attack Targets Malian Army Camp in Kidal

The Azawad Liberation Front has claimed responsibility for a suicide drone attack targeting a Malian army camp in the northern city of Kidal.

In a statement, the group said the strike resulted in the “complete destruction of the army’s drone control platform” inside the camp, describing the attack as “precise.”

In response, the Malian army reported that its air force carried out separate operations that “eliminated more than 30 fighters” and destroyed a small camouflaged truck used to transport militants and logistical supplies in the Niono area.
