Libyan Tuareg Council Endorses National Dialogue Outcomes, Calls for Resolution of Civil Registry Issue

Tripoli – The High Social Council of Libyan Tuareg has endorsed the outcomes of Libya’s Structural National Dialogue, describing them as an important step toward strengthening national stability, justice, and inclusive consensus.

In a statement issued on 18 June 2026, the council said it supports all genuine efforts aimed at achieving stability and national reconciliation, stressing that the dialogue outcomes provide an opportunity to build unified state institutions and reinforce trust among all Libyan communities.

The council placed particular emphasis on implementing the human rights recommendations, especially those concerning families registered under the temporary civil registry, describing the issue as both a humanitarian and national priority that requires a fair solution guaranteeing their fundamental rights and full integration into state institutions.

The statement added that implementing these recommendations would promote justice, equality, and national reconciliation while helping establish stronger governance and lasting stability.

The council also called on all Libyan stakeholders to engage responsibly in implementing the dialogue outcomes, while emphasizing the importance of continued international support to ensure the recommendations are translated into tangible measures that meet the aspirations of the Libyan people.
