Authorities say a concrete retaining wall collapsed onto a wooden house before a landslide buried the home.

The victims included a pregnant mother aged thirty six and her six children.

Rescue efforts were hampered by ongoing rain and unstable debris.

Initial bodies were recovered early Friday with search operations continuing.

Officials and religious leaders visited the site and offered condolences.

Authorities have launched an investigation into construction safety.

The incident follows unusually intense early rainfall on Bioko Island.

Experts warn of increasing risks linked to changing climate patterns.

The disaster highlights vulnerabilities in urban infrastructure.
