Syrian television reported on Wednesday that Israeli aircraft were seen flying over the provinces of Homs and Hama in central Syria.
The development comes amid Israeli statements reaffirming their intention to continue operating inside Syrian and Lebanese territory, while Damascus accuses Israel of violating the 1974 Disengagement Agreement through incursions into rural areas of several provinces.
Separately, the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday denied media reports claiming he had refused to sign a security agreement with Syria that had reportedly been reached earlier through U.S. mediation.
