Libya Deports Undocumented Migrants from Niger

Libya’s Ministry of Interior, under the Government of National Unity, has announced the deportation of undocumented migrants of Nigerien nationality through Mitiga International Airport, following the completion of the required legal procedures.

Acting Interior Minister General Emad Al-Tarabulsi stated that the ministry is providing facilitations to ease the procedures for irregular migrants, including waiving violation fees and offering temporary accommodation in holding centers. He stressed that deportation operations are conducted in line with humanitarian standards, ensuring safe transport and proper care.

According to Al-Tarabulsi, an estimated three million undocumented migrants are currently present in Libya.
