Israeli forces advance into Syria’s Quneitra countryside

Israeli military patrols advanced on Saturday into rural areas of Syria’s Quneitra province, in what Syrian authorities described as a fresh violation of national sovereignty.

According to Syria’s state news agency SANA, the incursion involved the villages of Ain Zivan and Al-Ajarif, where Israeli forces set up temporary roadblocks and carried out checks on civilians before later withdrawing.

The incident comes amid a series of reported Israeli incursions and actions targeting Syrian territory, which Damascus has repeatedly condemned as violations of its sovereignty.
