A major technical failure on Friday disrupted a large number of websites and platforms worldwide, according to The Guardian.
The outage is linked to Cloudflare, the global internet infrastructure provider, marking the second such incident in less than a month.
Cloudflare said it is investigating technical issues affecting its dashboard and application programming interfaces (APIs), which enable data exchange between applications.
The company deployed an initial fix and stated that it is closely monitoring the situation to ensure services gradually return to normal for all users.
Given the heavy reliance of many global platforms on Cloudflare’s infrastructure, any technical failure at the company can have far-reaching effects across the global internet.
