At least 12 people were killed and more than 20 others injured in a suicide bombing near a court complex in Pakistan’s capital, Islamabad, on Tuesday.
The Pakistani Interior Minister confirmed that the explosion occurred at the entrance of the local court, an area often crowded with lawyers and litigants.
According to eyewitnesses, several vehicles caught fire near the gate following the blast.
A lawyer who was at the scene said the explosion happened moments after his arrival, sparking chaos and panic as people rushed inside the complex seeking safety.
