Somalia’s National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) has arrested 11 members of the Al-Shabaab militant group who were planning attacks in the capital Mogadishu and surrounding areas in the Lower and Middle Shabelle regions.
The operation was carried out based on precise intelligence, enabling specialized units to track down the suspects and arrest them one by one, with some caught in the act.
The detainees are now under investigation, while security efforts continue to eliminate the group’s threat.
This operation underscores Somalia’s ongoing security campaign against the major threats posed by Al-Shabaab and the Islamic State.
