Nigeria Announces Rescue of Hostages in Two Separate Operations

Nigerian authorities have announced the rescue of 38 worshippers abducted from a church in Kwara State, along with 51 students freed from a Catholic school in Niger State.

The announcement was made by President Bola Tinubu, who praised the efforts of security forces and stressed that every citizen’s right to safety remains a top priority, vowing to “do everything possible” to protect the Nigerian people.

The operations come amid a surge in criminal activity across the country, while U.S. President Donald Trump has threatened military action in response to what he described as persecution of Christians.
