Israeli Strike on Syria Leaves Dead and Injured Amid Clashes With Occupation Forces

Thirteen civilians were killed and twenty-five others wounded — some still trapped under the rubble — following an Israeli strike on the town of Beit Jinn in western rural Damascus.

The strike came after an Israeli military patrol entered and surrounded the town, triggering armed clashes with local residents. The Israeli force eventually withdrew to the outskirts of the area.

For its part, the Israeli occupation forces reported 13 soldiers injured, including three in critical condition, during the clashes. Israeli media said the soldiers fled the scene, leaving behind a military vehicle that was later destroyed.

Israeli warplanes continue intensive flights over the region, while the Israeli army has reinforced its forces there — a new escalation signalling a worsening security situation in southern Syria.
