EU–African Union to hold seventh summit in Angola

Angola’s capital, Luanda, is preparing to host the seventh summit between the European Union and the African Union on 24–25 November 2025, with representatives from member states of both blocs in attendance.

The meeting will be co-chaired by Angolan President João Lourenço and European Council President António Costa, while European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen will also take part in the summit’s proceedings.

This year’s summit carries notable symbolic weight, marking the 25th anniversary of the EU–AU partnership — a milestone that lends additional significance to the gathering.
