The Ethiopia–EU Investment Forum kicked off in Paris, bringing together high-level government officials and private sector leaders. Organized by MEDEF International in collaboration with the European Commission, the forum gathered representatives from the Ethiopian and French governments, the European Union, as well as leading financial institutions and European companies.
The event focused on unlocking investment opportunities across four key strategic sectors:
- aviation,
- renewable energy,
- transport, infrastructure, and logistics,
- and the digital economy, including artificial intelligence and telecommunications.
The forum aims to leverage Ethiopia’s ongoing economic reforms and its strategic position as a gateway to East Africa, while strengthening trade relations and mobilizing financing through the EU’s Global Gateway initiative — supporting sustainable and inclusive growth pathways for the country.
