Azawad Liberation Front Accuses Malian Army of Killing Civilians in Airstrikes

The Azawad Liberation Front has accused the Malian army of carrying out airstrikes that resulted in civilian casualties in two separate incidents.

In a statement, the group said a drone strike hit a house in the town of Tinkata in Timbuktu region during the night of 13–14 November, killing an entire family of seven, including five children.

The statement described the attack as an “extermination project” and “heinous crimes” committed by a “criminal junta,” calling on international organisations to document the violations and ensure accountability.

For its part, the Malian Armed Forces issued a separate statement announcing a successful operation that targeted “three vehicles” southeast of Kidal, affirming that the military continues to monitor national territory and protect people and property.
