The Christian Association of Nigeria has announced that the number of abductees from St. Mary’s School in Niger State has risen to 315, including 303 pupils and 12 teachers.
The attack took place early Friday morning, prompting the Nigerian president to cancel his international travels and place security forces on maximum alert, with military and security units deployed across the region.
The incident comes just days after the kidnapping of 25 girls in Kebbi State, and amid comments from U.S. President Donald Trump suggesting that Washington is preparing for a “possible action” in Nigeria.
