Syria’s Defense Ministry Reports Two Soldiers Killed Near Aleppo

Syria’s Ministry of Defense has announced that two Syrian army soldiers were shot dead by unidentified gunmen on Sunday evening near the city of Al-Bab, in eastern Aleppo province.

In a statement carried by the state news agency SANA, the ministry described the incident as a “cowardly and treacherous attack,” adding that relevant authorities have launched an investigation to identify the perpetrators.

The attack is part of a series of assaults targeting government forces in northern Syria.
