European Commission Developing Military Plans to Prepare for Potential Conflict with Russia

The European Commission is drawing up joint military plans with EU member states and NATO in preparation for a possible conflict with Russia, according to a report by the Financial Times.

The plans focus on coordinating military transport, including trucks, rail cars, and ferries capable of moving tanks and heavy artillery across Europe in the event of war.

The initiative aims to cut deployment times for military forces within the European Union by improving transport infrastructure and streamlining customs procedures.

Proposals under discussion include creating a shared military transport system among EU members and registering available vehicles for use in emergencies.

The plans are still in their early stages and subject to revision, while efforts to establish a unified European military fleet face budgetary and logistical challenges.
