Algeria’s ambassador and permanent representative to the African Union, Mr. Mohamed Khaled, chaired a coordination meeting between the AU Peace and Security Council (PSC) and the African group at the UN Security Council.
The meeting, welcomed by the participants, aimed to strengthen mechanisms for consultation and joint action, while renewing coordination dynamics to advance African interests within the United Nations.
It represents a concrete step in implementing the recommendations of the “Oran Process,” which calls for unified African positions.
The session also highlights Algeria’s active role as a member of both bodies, and its firm commitment to promoting African solidarity, security, and stability, while ensuring a unified African voice on the international stage.
Participants praised the maturity of the discussions, describing them as a constructive step that strengthens the standing of African states and their collective position.
