Ghana Deports Migrants to Togo After U.S. Repatriation

Ghanaian authorities this week deported six West African migrants to Togo after they were repatriated to Accra by the United States under President Donald Trump’s tightened immigration policy.

Washington had initially returned 11 undocumented migrants to Ghana: one was released to a relative, six were transferred to Togo, while the fate of the remaining four remains unclear as their lawyers have been unable to reach them.

The move is part of a broader wave of U.S. deportations targeting undocumented migrants, a top priority during Trump’s second term.
