Japan is promoting an alternative cooperation model focused on human capital development and institutional building. Tokyo announced a new $30 billion investment package through 2025, in contrast to China’s model centered on large-scale infrastructure projects.
Held under the theme “Together with Africa”, the summit seeks to boost Japan’s strategic presence on the continent through new maritime security initiatives, financial support programs, and preparations for extensive African participation in Expo Osaka 2025.
