The spokesperson for the Gaza Health Ministry, Khalil Al-Daqran, announced that Israeli strikes have claimed the lives of at least 200 people across the Gaza Strip on Tuesday.
The Israeli army had previously declared that it launched attacks on the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stating that the strikes were in response to the group’s refusal to release Israeli hostages.
The Israeli military said it is prepared to continue targeting Hamas leaders and infrastructure in Gaza as long as necessary and will expand the campaign beyond airstrikes.
Meanwhile, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt stated that Israel had consulted with the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump regarding its airstrikes on Gaza on Tuesday.
