Iran launches space vehicle after failed attempts

The Iran military has announced the successful launch of a space vehicle under the country’s space programme.

The Simorgh launch vehicle successfully completed its second launch, following a series of partial successes.

Iran independently placed its heaviest payload to date—300kg—into orbit, showcasing our enhanced multi-payload capability with three payloads deployed on a single mission.

Additionally, the space tug, Saman-1, has performed its primary tasks flawlessly so far, opening the door for the deployment of satellites into higher orbits at reduced costs.

The Iranian military also successfully deployed its first satellite, IEI Fakhr-1, marking the fourth dedicated military satellite to be placed into orbit by Iran.
