The Malian government has revealed the arrival of new military reinforcements for its army, including advanced weaponry.
According to an official statement, “the new equipment arrived in Bamako aboard more than 100 trucks coming from the port of Conakry in Guinea.”
In a post on the official page of the Sahel States Alliance on the X platform, the government stated that “the acquisition of this military equipment is part of efforts to strengthen the capabilities of the armed forces engaged in the fight against terrorism and the protection of national territory, which requires providing the army with the necessary resources.”
The statement emphasized that these military reinforcements send a clear message: the army remains committed to strengthening sovereignty and securing the country.
However, the government did not disclose the source of the new weaponry. It is worth noting that in recent years, Mali has developed military partnerships with Russia and Turkey.
